Green Futures Festival
Saturday 22nd March, 9.30am – 4.30pm
Queen Margaret University, Musselburgh
We are thrilled to announce our Green Futures Festival 2025!
This festival will be a space of connecting and learning skills, with themed corners on food, energy, biodiversity to circular economy. There will be spaces focussing on campaigns, collective wellbeing and youth engagement too. There will be a climate gathering to look at what work we can build together, as well as music and climate activities for kids throughout the day.
This festival looks to be a dynamic and energising day for people new to climate action and for people who have been involved for a long time.
The event is free and you do not need to register.
Parking is free on a Saturday at QMU, despite the big signs saying you have to pay! See end of this page for full travel options, including green ways to get there.
See our programme, our stalls & themed areas as well as our list of activities below. There is also an indoor and outdoor map below for orientation.
FOOD
You will be able to buy refreshments throughout the day. There will a small set of options sustainable lunch options from Baxter Storey as well as home-made baked items at the Hux (café next to the festival space). TRAVEL
The campus is easily accessible. Please note, parking is free on a Saturday at Queen Margaret University, despite the big signs saying you have to pay!
QMU campus is located close to Musselburgh, east of Edinburgh city centre. The best way to access the campus is through public transport or walking/cycling. We have Musselburgh train station at our front door and bus services stopping on campus. National cycle Route 1 provides direct access via active travel. Vehicular access can only be gained from the A1. If you do wish to drive, there is a car park on campus, and this is free to use during the weekend.
Sustainability is a key element of the campus’ design, and we further encourage it with a Green Travel Policy.
