Hedgerows are vital habitats for wildlife, but declining condition and loss of connectivity threaten their survival.
We are hiring two part-time, fixed-term Hedgerow Officers for the Winter; one with a focus on the East Lammermuir area and one with a focus on the rest of East Lothian.
These are exciting opportunities to build on the East Lothian Hedgerow Restoration pilot and help deliver practical hedgerow restoration across East Lothian in partnership with landowners, farmers, local communities and volunteers. These Hedgerow Officers will lead day-to-day practical restoration and act as key coordinators across landowners, communities and partner organisations, helping to ensure hedgerow recovery contributes to a wider, connected nature network across East Lothian.
East Lothian Hedgerow Officer (Climate Hub) – 3 days/week, focused on all of East Lothian
East Lammermuir Hedgerow Officer (NNG Fund) – 4 days/week, focused on East Lammermuir
