about
What is the Climate Hub?
The East Lothian Climate Hub is the sum of all the communities across East Lothian who want a sustainable environment that centres the wellbeing of our communities, the climate and nature.
We are funded by the Scottish Government, which pledged to fund regional climate action hubs across Scotland following Scotland hosting the UN climate summit (COP26) in 2021.
In East Lothian Climate Hub includes the East Lothian Climate Action Network (ELCAN), which supports and guides the activities of the Climate Hub.
We are grateful to Scottish Communities Climate Action Network (SCCAN) for support in our securing funding and to Lil CIC for hosting us.
The Hub has been fully staffed since March 2024. Meet the team below.
We are one of over 20 Climate Hubs across Scotland. We form a nation-wide set of networks working to bring communities together to engage in collective climate action, supporting a just transition, and driving for greater change.
