What YOU can do to help look after our local rivers

Ahead of East Lothian’s River Weekend – 24th to 27th September – we’ve asked river groups across the county for their tips for getting to know your local waterways.

There are some easy steps that you can take to ease the pressure on your local river.  Here are our top 10!

Join one of the free events happening across the county this month.

To celebrate World Rivers Day, various groups and organisations in East Lothian are working together to host a weekend of events along and around our waterways. These free events run from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th September and are open to anyone curious to connect more with the Tyne and the East Lammermuir burns.
