A Snapshot Story of Community Climate Action in East Lothian

The Climate Hub team spent 2 months meeting groups from across East Lothian that are carrying out incredible work related to climate change, the environment and related matters (food, land, poverty, energy, etc). The purpose of this was to build a picture of what is already happening, what challenges groups are up against, and what could happen if we could pool our collective resources, skills and visions.

This Snapshot Story maps the climate and environmental work taking place across the region, based on these 43 meetings with ELCAN members and some other key initiatives. This is of course not all the work taking place in the region, just the groups we are connected to. We are eager to also connect with other groups carrying out climate action or that would like to.

This overview of the work taking place gives a beautiful sense of hope, based on the amazing action already taking place, as well as imaging what is possible for working together and scaling up our activities. We have also included examples of potential collective work we could carry our through out thematic areas of work.

Learnings and other ideas for action that came out of these 43 meetings will be included on our website (which we are looking to populate and develop over the summer).
