East Lothian Climate Action Network – Recruiting New Board Members

Are you interested in contributing to the development of the the East Lothian Climate Action Network Board, which provides strategic direction to the Climate Hub?

The East Lothian Climate Action Network Board are recruiting new members. This is a voluntary post, which requires about a day a month on average, including some evening meetings and weekend events.

ELCAN, which is empowered by the activities of the Climate Hub, is comprised of nearly 100 community volunteer groups, charities, and other organisations, including climate-orientated businesses, in East Lothian. The Hub is hosted by Lil CIC (Lower Impact Living) on behalf of ELCAN, which oversees governance, HR, finance, and policy, etc.

We are very interested in recruiting members from diverse backgrounds, who may bring different experiences, perspectives, and skills. ELCAN is developing a plan for constituting as an independent group in the near future, and Board members with a background in making decisions related to constituting an organisation and/or serving on a more formal board of directors would be very welcome.
