The Fraser Centre, Tranent
Wednesday 11 March 2026, 11am to 1pm
Come reuse, share and borrow at the Fraser Centre’s first Reuse Fair.
On Wednesday 11 March, the Fraser Centre will be holding an event to give items a second life. There will be six organisations from across East Lothian and hundreds of items, being given away at little to no cost.
Come along to this free event for:
- East Lothian Kit Stop – sports kit and equipment
- ELC MusicAL Instrument Lending Library – musical instruments
- Recycling First – furniture and homewear
- Carefree Kids East Lothian – school uniform bank
- Low Impact Living CIC – pre-loved fabric and clothing
- ELC Library Service
“We are delighted to be hosting our first Reuse Fair in the Fraser Centre,” said organisers The Fraser Centre Community Trust.
“The fair seeks to reduce waste as well as providing much needed items to the local community at low cost. A real win-win! We are delighted to be part of the conversation about circular economies where items are reused, repaired and recycled rather than simply discarded.”
All are welcome. Please don’t bring donations! There are plenty of items needing homes.
For details about how to donate or volunteering opportunities, please contact the partner organisations directly, or drop in on the day.
The event sponsored by ELCAN and the East Lothian Climate Hub will be the first held at Tranent’s Fraser Centre.
“The Reuse Fair is a great event to reduce waste and give new life to items that are in need across East Lothian,” said a spokesperson for ELCAN.
“It’s also an opportunity to learn more about the circular economy and volunteering opportunities across the region. We hope this will be the first Reuse Fair of many!”
