The Climate Hub invited people from across East Lothian to collectively decide which areas of work we will focus on and scale up together. 50 people came to our in person theme selection event. It was a buzzing night of connecting, discussion and voting. East Lothian Climate Action Network members also had the opportunity to cast their votes remotely afterwards.

We believe that it is critical that our work is impactful and centres social justice. We asked people to consider their votes against the following criteria: addresses social equity; builds resilience & supports adaptation; scales up action and impact.
The following themes won the most votes:
– Biodiversity
– Food
– Energy
– Circular Economy
From here, we will create thematic areas of work, that look to increase and scale up action on the ground as well as to push for change from above where possible.
